Lucien Le Moine Champ Gain Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 2019

This is aromatically restrained to the point of being almost mute though aggressive swirling eventually liberates hints of melon, ripe citrus and a variety of floral wisps. There is fine volume and verve to the stony middle weight flavors that conclude in a precise, youthfully austere and bone-dry finale. This is sufficiently forward to be reasonably approachable after 5-ish years. Drink: 2026+. Score – 90-92. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, June 10, 2021)
