Four-fifths of this blend of corvina (60%), corvinone (20%), and rondinella (20%) was matured in French barriques, with the rest in stainless steel. The result is a quite lovely pairing of concentrated, layered fruit and juicy acidity, which add up to a very drinkable wine. With drying but well-integrated tannins, it’s ready to go now but can easily be held to the late 2020s. Score – 92. (Rod Phillips, June 2023)
