The nose is recognizably carmenere, with herbal notes that add a layer of freshness, behind that, aromas of ripe red fruit and some spices. The palate is brimming with fruit flavors, and this time the herbs are very subtle, like background music. The tannins are smooth and polished and there are light mineral touches towards the finish on the palate. This carmenere is an excellent example of the variety and comes from the Lolol zone, in the western Colchagua Valley. It was aged for a year in barrels. Score – 93.
