Georgian Royal Wine GRW Mukuzani Dry Red 2021

This is a very deeply coloured red with a smooth, pronounced nose of very ripe black plum/blackberry, violet, vague pepper and spice. Reminds me of Cotes du Rhone. It is medium-full bodied, quite well rounded and balanced with good acid-alcohol dimension and soft tannin. There is some minerality as well. The length is very good. Tasted January 2024. Score – 88.
