The finest of this cuvee in recent memory. A deep vermilion. Violet florals segue into ripe cherry and blueberry. Smoked meats, too. Despite its formidable presence, this is juicy, pulpy and palate-whetting. A joy! Quintessentially Australian, but a sophisticated idiom, unafraid of its power. Heathcote DNA palpable. Long, fine-grained tannins lead the senses along. The finish is velour and refinement, auguring for a Very long life ahead. Drink by: 2033. Special Value. Score – 97.
