François-Xavier Lambert Prestige des Dentelles Gigondas 2020

Cut from the same cloth, only slightly richer, the 2020 Gigondas Prestige Des Dentelles is 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and the balance Cinsault and Mourvèdre, raised in 500-liter barrels. It has a kiss of oak but never loses its classic Gigondas flair in its cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as violets and toasted spice-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied and ripe, with moderate acidity and ripe tannins, it’s a pleasure bomb to enjoy over the coming 10-12+ years. Score – 91-93+. (jebdunnuck.com, Jan. 25, 2022)
