Reductive, especially for tempranillo, requiring forceful aeration to settle things down and release the charm. Otherwise there is a good dose of black cherry fruit, quite properly ripe which leads to thoughts of cool climate tempranillo in a world where we imagine it’s always hot, sunny and dry. ‘The maid of the vines’ does well to hold our attention and convince us she’s demonstrating a thorough concern for all the wine’s parts involved, no matter how small. Solid and scrupulous tempranillo indeed. Drink 2024-2027. Tasted May 2023. Score – 90. (Michael Godel, winealign.com)
