Château Maillet 2020

Big, dominating tannins, this is burly, there is some seductive black cherry fruit underneath but it strides into the room. As it softens, sweet blackberry purée arrives, and overall you are firmly in signature Pomerol territory here, just a pumped-up version. Drinking window: 2026-2038. Score – 92.
