The 2016 Shay’s Flat Vineyard Pyrenees Shiraz smells a bit like a Mediterranean feast in a glass, boasting hints of mint, grilled lamb and black olives, washed down with a shot of espresso. It’s medium-bodied and definitely savory, framed by silky tannins and softly dusty on the finish. Smooth and approachable, it should drink well for another five years or so. Drink date: 2020-2025. Score – 89. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, July 31, 2020)
