Smoky aromas suggestive of beef bouillon, smoked salumi and toasty mocha oak. The wine is rich, yet the oak dominates at this nascent stage. This needs time. The finish is drying and excessively oaky. At least for now. Scored with an optimistic glimpse of the future. Drinkable now, but best from 2026. Score – 90. (jamessuckling.com, May 9, 2023)
