Calera Mt. Harlan Jensen Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with black raspberry, loam, and oak bouquet with hints of cinnamon, black cherry, and black tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, polished, and elegant. The flavors profile is a red plum and red cherry blend with notes of earthy minerality, bay leaf, and oak. We also picked up some hints of black tea and spice in the mix. The finish is dry and its moderate refined tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a filet mignon or a pork tenderloin. Enjoy. Score – 93.5.
