Rucahue Cayetano Gran Reserva Cabernet Franc 2019

Despite coming from a warm year, this cabernet franc offers juicy freshness surrounded by notes of herbs and touches of tobacco, but most of all, this is about red fruits in a nervy body with rich acidity. There’s no indication here of the tremendous heat that hit the Central Valley, with temperatures that surpassed 40ºC on summer afternoons. Harvested about 10 days earlier than normal, and aged with used oak, this is a juicy example of the variety. Score – 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2022)
