Battle Creek Yamhela Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Vivid red. Ripe red berries, pungent flowers and a hint of vanilla on the expressive nose. Fleshy and broad on entry and then more taut in the midpalate, offering juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a sweetening touch of vanilla. Finishes long and smooth with late-arriving tannins and a kiss of mocha. Aged in 20% new oak. Drinking window: 2021-2026. Score – 90. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Aug. 2020)
