J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Chardonnay 2021

The Arroyo Seco AVA is one of the few regions in California one might consider ‘cool climate.’ The cooling breeze off the Pacific, the morning fog typical of Monterey, and the gravelly-limestone soil make for excellently balanced Chardonnay that adapts well to extensive periods in American oak barrels, offering flavours of Asian pear, lychee and butter.[The Los Angeles International Wine Competition did not include a tasting note.] Score – 94.
