El Puntido 2015

The flagship, single vineyard is the 2015 El Puntido, which is all Tempranillo that spent 16 months in new French oak. Blackcurrants, smoked plums, lead pencil, crushed violets, and Asian spice notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, incredibly elegant, and seamless wine that builds nicely on the palate. With fine tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish, drink it any time over the coming 10-15 years or so. Score – 95. (jebdunnuck.com, Sept. 6, 2019)
