Product Details
Sales from this wine go towards Koala Life, which supports koala management and conservation. That alone should compel you to buy this wine. If, however, it is not enough (really?), consider that it is from top-notch Langhorne Creek fruit, a vineyard planted in 1998 on its own roots. It spent time maturing in seasoned French oak hogsheads. Dark maroon in colour, we have aromas of cloves, blackcurrants and dark chocolate. There is intensity here, and good focus, with soft and supple tannins on a lingering finish. Drink now for the next six years. As for the score, this is for the wine. Add whatever you think saving koalas deserves. Drink: 2023-2029. Score – 91. (Ken Gargett, winepilot.com, June 2023)
