Now we are talking! This is a wine that speaks to you with layers and finesse. Sweet tobacco leaves, cedar, cigar box and nimble black and red berries. A hint of cocoa, too. It is complex and expressive, yet really transparent and nuanced. Almost Bordeaux-like. Tight, fine-grained tannins suggest some good aging potential. If you are tasting, remember to put this before heavier malbecs. A joy to taste and drink now, but better from 2024. Ranked #84 in James Suckling’s Top 100 Wines of Argentina in 2022. Score – 94.
