Dark cherries, plums, smoke, mint, licorice, sweet herbs and crushed rose petals swirl around in the glass as the 2008 Amarone della Valpolicella opens up over time. Vivid and wonderfully alive, the 2008 stands out for its highly expressive, translucent personality. Even with all of its depth, the 2008 is essentially a weightless Amarone built on finesse.
