Made with certified organic fruit, the Loacker 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Corte Pavone Fiore del Vento has a savory side that is shaped by darkly concentrated fruit and lightly toasted oak. The wine’s texture is what stands out most, and although there is more richness in this vintage, this Brunello offers balanced tones of toasted cardamom spice and crushed clove. There is some sweet cherry liqueur to close. This is a bigger, heftier expression, but with the right food pairing – think roasted meats – it will excel. Drink date: 2025-2040. Score – 95.
