Domaine d’Ardhuy Chaumes Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 2020

Pungent aromas of reduction and wood dominate the fruit though there are whispers of spice detectible. The succulent, round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors possess both good volume and solid mid-palate concentration before concluding in a dusty, mouth coating and mildly tangy finish. I suspect that acid tang will eventually smooth out and my range offers the benefit of the doubt. Drink: 2030+. Score – 90-92. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, Jan. 10, 2022)
