Very ripe, juicy, fleshy, concentrated, this could easily pass for a pricey Sonoma Cost pinot, genuinely cool climate, but with billowing dark fruit and cola berry character, in any case, a very good wine from Flat Rock. I love the juicy berry fruit and the resinous, pine needle flavours, adding complexity and depth. Length, too, is impressive. I’d say best after 2021 or so, or hold into the mid-late ’20s. Score – 92. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, May 22, 2020)
