Panzanello 1427 Chianti Classico 2019

I like the dark, almost broody character to this CC, which offers plenty of crushed black berries and currants, together with some forest-floor and smoky, almost coffee-grains character. Blends very nicely on the medium-bodied palate and both the fruity and savory elements latch onto the medium tannins nicely, to give good drive and decent length. Nicely controlled. This will be better after another year or so in bottle. Try from 2023 [or cellar until 2029]. Score – 93. (jamessuckling.com, Nov. 4, 2021)
