This wine is made from a blend of grapes indigenous to Puglia, with the focus on Nero di Troia, whose thick skin makes for deep, brooding wines with hefty tannins. The coarse tannin structure leads to long-lived wines that develop savoury flavours over an extended period. This well-aged red won’t need much time in the decanter and will offer flavours of dried fig, pipe tobacco, dark chocolate, and smoked game.
