Badel 1862 Travarica Rakija

This is an intense herbal and resinous spirit that reminds of retsina, but with clove spice and anise/licorice notes. It is quite powerful, sweet and intense; needs to be cut with ice or water. There is considerable bitterness. The length is excellent. Tasted June 2023 (David Lawrason,winealign.com)
