Chateau de la Chaize Pouilly-Fuissé 2019

This is a generous, ripe yet elegant Pouilly-Fuisse from a warmer year. The nose is quite complex with obvious oak spice, considerable toasted lees and some wood smoke over peachy fruit. It is quite creamy smooth yet maintains a decent mineral, acid core, without excessive alcohol heat. Wanted a bit more length, but it is still very good to excellent year. Tasted Oct 2021.
