Very solid, with a fleshy core of dark plum, black currant and blackberry fruit that melds slowly into notes of charcoal, warm paving stone and smoldering bay leaf and tobacco. There’s lots of latent grip here, with a well of fruit in reserve. For the cellar. Best from 2020 through 2035. Score – 94. (James Molesworth, winespectator.com, Dec. 15, 2017)
