Picked at 82° Oechsle, the 2020 Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Riesling Kabinett offers a pure, fresh and fascinating floral and herbal bouquet with ripe, white fruit and lovely flinty notes. Round and refined on the palate, this is a light and grippy, highly stimulating and refined Kabinett with crystalline and salty acidity that lifts the sweetness of this gorgeous wine that was going to be bottled the next day with 50 grams per liter of residual sugar. Due to nine grams per liter of total acidity and this straight mineral character, the wine tastes like a classic Kabinett feinherb. Tasted at the domain in July 2021. Score – 93.
