Laberinto Trumao Sur 2019

Fermented and aged in barrels made from the Chilean lenga tree that grows in Tierra del Fuego and has particularly tight pores, this brilliant Sauvignon Blanc comes from the coldestpart of the Laberinto vineyard with the deepest layer of volcanic ash. Spice, quince and taut, chiselled acidity combine with the subtle, toasty wood. Intriguing. Drink date: 2021-2027. White Wine Discovery of the Year. Score – 96.
