First release. Hand-picked fruit from vines in Moculta, planted 1968. Wild fermented, basket pressed then matured 23 months in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. Impressive hue of deep, vibrant purple, heralding an all-new Barossa shiraz of presence and distinction. Ticking all the boxes of impact of black fruits, licorice, coffee bean and dark chocolate oak. It holds integrity and poise, harmonised by an even acid line and most of all, by a fine, taut frame of impeccable tannins. Line and length promise great things in time. Drink by: 2033. Score – 95.
