Fresne Ducret La Grande Hermine Extra Brut 1er Cru Champagne 2012

A more advanced Champagne for those who gravitate to these styles but certainly one with an abundance of complexity. Made from an assemblage of 50% chardonnay and the remainder pinot noir and pinot meunier. Nutty, with poached pear, apple, and toasted brioche. The wine continues to develop in the glass significantly with a bold character, lively acids and notable substance. A memorable find that is ready to enjoy. Tasted April 2024. Score – 93.
