2021 QUINTA DAS CARVALHAS TINTO VINHAS VELHAS DOC 2021

The wine is a field blend of 20 different indigenous grape varieties and reflect the uniqueness of the terroir. The grapes undergo the ancient process of foot treading in traditional granite lagares, allowing for greater contact between the must and the skins, resulting in a gentle but consistent extraction. The wine shows great complexity, depth, power and freshness with notes of dark fruit, wild herbs, spices, and wet earth, blending subtle hints of vanilla from the oak ageing.
