A Pie de Tierra Fuerza Bruta 2021

The palest and most ethereal of the wines I tasted was the 2021 Fuerza Bruta, which brought to mind the Las Umbrías bottling of Comando G with its weightless energy and elegance. It has only 13.5% alcohol and a low pH, with complexity and nuance. It’s subtle with aromas of flowers and herbs and is perfumed and delicate, layered and deep with a medium-bodied palate with great balance, purity and length, with no room for sweetness or ripeness. It fermented with natural yeasts and 100% full clusters, had a 60-day maceration and then matured in Galician chestnut and French oak vats for around 12 months. This is stunning. Liquid granite.
