Deep-red-violet in the glass, this wine has a nose of black cherry, violet and leather. It opens on the palate with eucalyptus and clove notes that are accompanied by flavors of pomegranate, cherry, leather and caramel. There is a nice play between bold acidity and firm tannins, both of which extend into a drawn-out, dark-chocolate finish. [Enjoy through 2030+.] Score – 94.
