Anthonij Rupert Optima Red Blend 2022

Always-impressive legacy brand is 5-way Bordeaux blend in 2021, mostly cab & merlot, showing finessed power. Dark, sombre fruit has spiced accents, aromatic liquorice & damp earth, wrapped in sturdy, grainy tannins. 30% new oak for 20 months adds texture & dimension. (Platter’s South African Wine Guide,2025)
