Apostolos Thymiopoulos Atma 2021

Apostolos Thymiopoulos received Decanter’s Rising Star Award in 2022, and is among the winemaking talents helping to propel Greek wine to new heights. His Atma red is a great introduction to the Xinomavro red grape, a must-try for lovers of Nebbiolo or Pinot Noir. This unoaked, fairly straightforward expression isn’t too intense, but displays the typical elegant red fruits of Xinomavro, plus a hint of tomato leaf and thyme. Fresh, chewy and with great acidity.
