Blason d’Issan 2021

Lovely sour cherry, violet, rose-touched nose. So juicy and bright straight away the acidity hits the palate, really refreshing and lifted. A lovely core of deep flavours ranging from perfumed blackcurrants to fragrant violets and a searing cherry touch, too. Direct but so appealing, straight and lively – it has a gentleness while still being fully flavoured and approachable. Softly textured yet bright fruit, the two quite opposing but well balanced. Lovely fresh finish, also. Fun and playful, but the most gorgeous sweet, fragrant cherry and strawberry juice – a result no doubt of the unusually higher percentage of Merlot in the blend in 2021. 3.57pH.
