The sheer intensity of the blackberry and blackcurrant fruits has soaked up the oak to an astonishing degree, with no fruitcake/vanilla bean consequences; instead there is a chiselled profile very different to that of the rumbling Colin Richardson, the much loved giant of Melbourne Food Wine circles for decades, never a cross word coming from his lips.
