With 4% viognier. The late Colin Richardson was a big-hearted and unfailing supporter of Victorian wines who loved a generous, honest red. Bring a decanter to this wine when it is released. It’s tight and focused at this early stage, with so much promise just brimming below the surface. Signature Pyrenees menthol notes are pervasive, but nicely countered by dense, ripe blackberries, raspberries, plums, licorice, chocolate and earth. Tannins are muscular.
