Bolla Le Orígíní Riserva Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2018

Reductive nose of straw, restrained cherries, black pepper and earth. Full-bodied with silky tannins, then chalky yet sweet. Refreshing natural acidity with a long finish of minerals and licorice. Quite a classic sample full of tension and drinkability. Drinkable now, but best from 2028. Score – 94. (jamessuckling.com, July 10, 2024)
