The ‘1685’ on the label refers to the year of the original title deeds for the Boschendal estate lands. This Pinotage is sourced from select dryland bush vines that produce notably intense, concentrated fruit. The wine is ripe, with big red and black fruit flavours, baking spice and tobacco. Pair it with beef curry or a vegan version of the classic South African casserole, bobotie.
