Buried Cane Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Buried Cane is found in Richland (part of the tri-cities) and their fruit source is the wide and broad Columbia Valley for middle of the road cabernet sauvignon. A true mix of ripeness and smoky or toasty barrel notes for a truly recognizable, drinkable and easy going varietal wine. Resides in that raspberry-cocoa lane with just a kiss of sweetness (4 g/L of residual sugar) and drier if also more effective tannins than expected. A good vintage for this brand with a solid viticultural name. Drink 2024-2027. Tasted March 2024. Score – 88. (Michael Godel, winealign.com)
