Cap Maritime Pinot Noir 2020

Expressive 2020’s ripe fruit – candied cherry, raspberry – mingles with exotic Earl Grey tea perfume. Downy tannins provide a gentle frame, as do 15 months in oak, 40 new, also adding toffee note at finish. A drinker rather than a keeper. Score – 92. (Platter’s South African Wine Guide, 2022)
