Carmen Delanz Alto Jahuel Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

This is a [Cabernet Sauvignon] blend with lots of energy. And that energy is not only expressed through the firm and sharp tannins or its acidity, which is fresh and crisp, but also through the fruity flavors that radiate a sensation that makes your mouth water. This is a very young wine, but with lots of promise. Delanz is from a combination of different blocks in the Carmen vineyard in the Alto Jahuel zone, which is considered part of the Alto Maipo. The heart comes from the alluvial terraces on the northern side of the property, where cabernet sauvignon predominates, plus a few lots of cabernet franc. This year, the blend is 74% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cabernet franc, 8% petit verdot, and the rest is petite sirah. [Drink through 2030+.] Score – 94. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2022)
