Carus Robèo Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

This is an organically grown cabernet, with a nicely lifted, pure if jammy nose of blackcurrant, rosemary/tarragon herbality, enhanced by fine oak toast. It is medium weight, firm and almost sinewy in cabernet’s inimitable way. It is also juicy on the palate with good acidity and considerable chewy tannin. Almost sappy, with some minerality. Excellent length. I like the energy here. Tasted December 2023. Score – 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
