Produced by François Despagne of Grand Corbin-Despagne, the 2021 Ampélia derives from an 8.80-hectare vineyard in the Côtes de Castillon near Château d’Aiguilhe and Joanin Bécot. Bursting with aromas of sweet red berries, cherries and sweet soil tones, it’s medium to full-bodied, seamless and nicely concentrated, with lively acids and a fleshy, charming profile.
