Château Cormeil-Figeac 2020

70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. Intensely aromatic and floral nose, with notes of herbal, spiced pepper, and some cocoa. Bright red and blue fruit on the palate, pomegranate juice, redcurrants, and cool blueberries, with further savoury flavours. The tannins are very fine and silky, with a lovely salinity. Great tension and energy to the wine, and a longing finish. Score – 96. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2023)
