Château Haut-Bages Monpelou 2016

Lots of pure cabernet aromas with currants and flowers. Dried lavender, too. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Lovely length. Try after 2022. An under the radar Pauillac to look for. [Drink into early 2030s.] Score – 93. (jamessuckling.com, Jan. 20, 2019)
