Product Details
Owned by Vignobles Mousset Barrot since 2003, Château Jas de Bressy only produces 10,000 bottles of its red Châteauneuf. The blend is largely dominated by Grenache with some Syrah and a little Mourvèdre, from vines aged up to 80 years grown in the La Petite Bastide vineyard on pebbly sand and red clay soils. Matt Walls: Huge wine, so powerful. Great texture, long, with freshness, acidity and drive. Somehow retains balance and freshness. Very attractive, with its pure blackberry and herb aromatic display. Tanguy Martin: Very open nose including strong roasted notes. Palate juicy and crunchy, tannins firm and not drying. David Round, MW: Ripe, intense raspberry fruit on the nose. Very fleshy and soft on the palate, beautifully elegant, with seamless texture. High quality and approachable. Drinking window: 2023-2046. Score – 96. (decanter.com, May 20, 2022)
