Château La Pointe 2020

The 2020 La Pointe has a finely tuned and detailed bouquet of black cherries, raspberry, wild strawberry and light truffle scents, unfolding beautifully with aeration. The palate is mediumbodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity and lovely poise, leading into a mineral-driven, sophisticated finish. This is one of the best vintages of La Pointe I have encountered at this stage. Just superb. Drinking window: 2027-2049. Score – 92-94. (Neal Martin, vinous.com, May 2021)
