The 2023 Laffitte-Carcasset is so inviting. A big, vertical Saint-Estèphe, Laffitte-Carcasset is a wine of stature. Dark-toned fruit , gravel, spice, licorice, new leather and mocha are all amplified nicely, but the 2023 retains plenty of structural drive to balance things out. Drinking window: 2025-2038.
